Overview

Te Runanganui o Te Arawa (TROTA) is an incorporated society formed in 1989 as an iwi authority representing most hapu of the Confederation of Te Arawa tribes on the basis of affiliation by runanga.
Iwi and hapu currently affiliated to TROTA include Ngati Rangitihi, Ngati Rangiteaorere, Te Ure o Uenukukopako, Ngati Pikiao, Tuwharetoa ki Kawerau, Ngati Tahu / Ngati Whaoa and Tuhourangi / Ngati Wahiao.
